Called into question is the current trend toward tossing trauma victims into the “trash bin” because they are considered damaged goods by society. In fact, the missive argues, people who have survived traumatic childhoods are better able to improve the world which suffers from its own environmental and social trauma because they have learned to improve their own lives despite the trauma they have endured.
